Barrie Yacht Club (BYC) is a community-driven sailing club located in Ontario, Canada. With approximately 100 full and social members, BYC runs a variety of sailing programs, including junior camps, race teams, and adult sailing lessons. Challenges

BYC’s previous registration system was outdated and inefficient. The club initially collected payments by cheque, which posed several risks, including minors handling large sums of money and misplaced payments.

When they switched to another system, it introduced new problems such as manual data entry, difficult refund processes, and unreliable discount handling. Additionally, they lacked a streamlined way to manage sponsorships and had limited capacity to gather customer feedback or insights.

Solution

BYC transitioned to Checklick, a platform designed to simplify registrations and program management. It also enabled the setup of tiered sponsorship levels for external partners, adding new funding opportunities.
